As you arrive in the new territories you will discover that each of the realms in the Shadowlands is controlled by a different Covenant. After the events in Battle for Azeroth, Sylvanas Windrunner faces the Lich King and after defeating him in an epic battle she manages to shatter the veil that separates the reality we know from the afterlife, opening the path to a new world.
