

Team player with strong communication and presentation skills.Able to incorporate feedback and take direction well.Working knowledge of Unity (or other games engine/s) and how to import assets.Comfortable using standard 2D and 3D packages such as Photoshop, Blender, etc.A portfolio demonstrating experience with creating stylized 3D assets.Solid understanding of design, typography, colour, anatomy, and composition.Proven experience in the games industry or similar, with a creative portfolio which is suitable to the house style of Hipster Whale (you probably don’t hate voxels and bright things).Work collaboratively with game teams to make sure our art is always a strong contributor to making the best play experience for our audience.Produce sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualise ideas/concepts.Support the visual development of our existing games and future projects.Build on-brand low-poly & voxel game assets and bring them into game.We offer flexibility and individual requirements will be accommodated where possible. The position is full-time, working hybridly (min 2 days per week in the studio). To be considered, you’ll need to already be based in Melbourne or be willing to relocate from interstate. This is a Melbourne, Australia based role.
